Business NH Magazine recognizes the top women-led companies in NH to demonstrate the economic influence of this sector on the economy. According to the magazine, the 77 companies on this year’s list generated $5.6 billion in revenue in 2021, a 5% increase from 2019. About Maria ‘Cristina’ Muise
With over 25 years of experience, Ms. Muise places a very specific emphasis on quality and fit through a unique, targeted approach with clients. By fostering partnerships, she brings a tactical and focused platform to yield the best results to clients nationwide. Furthermore, her expertise in finance and operations, mergers and acquisitions, and debt financing lend itself to influencing strategic direction as well.
Owner and former President of Medicus Healthcare Solutions, LLC, one of the largest physician staffing firms in the country. Before joining Medicus Healthcare Solutions, LLC, Ms. Muise owned and operated a consulting practice and served in faculty positions at Stonehill College and Merrimack College. Additionally, she served as the chief financial officer (CFO) and chief operating officer (COO) at Globalware Solutions, Inc., where she was responsible for day-to-day operations for locations in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
She has served on the Boards of Medicus Healthcare Solutions, LLC, UBERDOC, the National Association of Locum Tenens (NALTO), and Globalware Solutions, Inc. In addition, she is a member of the Small Business Association of New England (SBANE), was named to the Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) Global Power 150 Women in Staffing list – an award in recognition of women who stand out as leaders and influencers in the global talent marketplace, and named to Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) 2022 Staffing 100 list – an annual list recognizes national leaders in staffing who are impacting the ecosystem and charting a course into the future of workforce solutions.
Ms. Muise is an inactive CPA and holds a BA in Accounting from Merrimack College, an MBA in Finance from Bentley College, and a Ph.D. in Finance from Walden University. She has published numerous articles in the Journal of Business Case Studies, Ethics & Critical Thinking Journal, Journal of Accounting and Finance, and has presented at the Global Conference of Business and Finance, Academy of Business Education, and the Society for Advancement of Management conferences.
